ハーラルド・ウヴェ・ケルン氏プロフィール

ウィーン生まれ。ウィーン国立劇場のバレエ学校のムジル先生、モナコのAcademie De La Danse のペソプラソワ先生の元で、バレエを学ぶ。その他テービット・ハワード、マギー・ブラック、レインス、ラロフ、コルパコーワ、セメニョフ各師の元で学ぶ。ルドルフ・ヌレイエフ・スカラシップ賞、パリ国際ダンス・コンクールのPrix d’interpretation, さらにニュー・ヨーク国際バレエコンクールで特別賞を受賞。ウィーン国立劇場、スイスのバーセル・バレエ、ニュー・ヨークのジョフリー・バレエ、インディアナポリスのバレエ・インターナショナル、チャールストン・バレエにおいてソリスト、プリンシパル・ダンサーとして活躍。コルパコーワ、セメニョフ各師の元バレエ・インターナショナル・アカデミー、またバレエ団において教師を務める。カリフォルニアのチャンネル・アイランド・バレエの副芸術監督を務め、ゲスト講師としてもヨーロッパ各地の学校、大学、バレエ団で指導している。現在ルイヴィル・バレエ団のバレエマスター。

講習会の場所：ＡＢＣ三田スタジオ
振付クラスは７回のクラスを通し、「眠れる森の美女」一幕より「ワルツ」を振付けていただきます。
この作品を、７月２７日、１１：３０に表参道の東京ユニオンチャーチ( 7-7 Jingumae 5-chome Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0001) にて行うＡＢＣ公演で発表します。入場は無料。

Harald Uwe Kern - Ballet Master

Born in Vienna, Austria, Mr. Kern studied with the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera under Karl Musil and at the Academie de la Danse de Princess Grace, Monte Carlo with Marika Besobrasova. He also studied with such teachers as David Howard, Maggie Black, Walter Raines, Kirsten Ralov, Irina Kolpakova and Vladilen Semyonov.

He has received many awards including the Rudolf Nureyev Scholarship Award, the Paris International Dance Competition prix d’interpretation and a special award for Artistic Achievement from the New York International Ballet Competition.

Mr. Kern has performed as a soloist and principal dancer with the Vienna State Opera Ballet, Basel Ballet (Switzerland), the Joffrey Ballet (New York) and with Ballet Internationale (Indianapolis) and Charleston Ballet Theater (South Carolina). He danced leading roles in all the major classical and romantic ballets and won critical acclaim for his interpretation of roles in ballets by Sir Frederick Ashton, John Cranko, Leonide Massine, Rudolf Nureyev, John Neumeier, Heinz Sporli, George Balanchine, Jiri Kilian and many more.

Under the guidance of Mrs. Kolpakova and Mr. Semyonov he also became a teacher and coach for the Academy and the company of Ballet Internationale.

He has been the Associate Artistic Director of the Channel Islands Ballet (California) and a guest instructor with schools, colleges and companies around the USA, Europe and Japan.
