“The Grateful Crane”
Choreography 構成/振付: Rio Mitani, The Grateful Crane is an original choreography by Rio Mitani. It was premiered in the fall of 2014 in the Persimmon Theater in Meguro in front of more than a 1000 visitors. It was received with good reviews and was soon shown to theaters and schools during our tour to Australia in December 2015. The piece itself is based on a beautiful Japanese folk story called “Tsuru no ongaeishi”. Literally “A crane returns a favor”.
